William Blalark is a third generation real estate professional serving North Long Beach and surrounding cities. Following in the footsteps of his Mother and Grandmother who were both real estate practitioners. Bill is well equipped to provide every service necessary to meet the needs of his clients.
Bill is a graduate of Southern University, Baton Rouge where he majored in Business Management and minor in Marketing. He is also a past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Southern University's Alumni Association. After graduating from Southern University in 1983 Bill began his real estate career by attending the Lumbleu School of Realty and after completing the sales program he joined Exclusive Properties where he worked in Property Management for several years. To further his professional experience William went to work for Fannie Mae in their property disposition department where he developed an expertise in selling bank repossess properties.
In 1992 Bill's mother founded Montgomery and Associates, a company she started with only 5 employees and which later grew to a staff of 35 employees and sales agents. Bill joined his mother's firm in 1993 and served as the listing broker for both Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other major lenders, specialized in selling their reposed properties.
Bill is also in adjunct instructor at West Los Angeles City College (WLAC). He teaches Real Estate Principles and Practice.
After his mother's death in 1995 Bill continued the company and developed skills in selling single family residences, residential income property, small commercial and institutionally owned properties.
In addition to selling property Bill is an active member of both the real estate community and the community at-large. He is a member of the California Association of Real Estate Brokers and served on their Board of Directors for 5 years. Bill is also an active member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the California Association of Realtors. In addition to his professional affiliations Bill also belongs to the Hollywood chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. where he served on the Theatre Review Committee and he is a member of Ward A.M.E. Church.
Bill, successfully complete certification training as an NID_Housing Counseling Agency (www.NIDOnline.org) Loss Mitigation Counselor, In September of 2007. NID Housing Counseling Agency is a HUD approved home counseling agency.
Ask Bill what he most enjoys about being a real estate broker and he'll tell you his greatest satisfaction comes from holding first time buyer seminars and helping young families to get into the housing market.
